Cipram Tablet (Citalopram) Uses

Primary Uses
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD — depression)

- Patients with panic disorder or anxiety disorder
- OCD patients on psychiatrist referral
- Adult patients under psychiatrist or physician supervision
When NOT to Use Cipram
- With MAO inhibitors (phenelzine, tranylcypromine) — FATAL serotonin syndrome
- Congenital long QT syndrome
- Without a doctor's prescription
- Uncontrolled bipolar disorder
Important Safety Note
Antidepressants — particularly in the first 1–4 weeks — carry a risk of increased suicidal thoughts or self-harm ideation. Inform the patient and family. Report any unusual mood or behaviour change to the doctor immediately.
