| < 10 mL/min (or dialysis) | Significant reduction — specialist only |
Regular monitoring of renal function (creatinine/eGFR) is necessary.
EMPTY STOMACH — Critical Instruction
- Take 2 hours before or 2 hours after food
- Food (especially a high-fat meal) significantly reduces entecavir absorption
- Maintain consistent timing — same time every day

- Once daily — same time every day
- EMPTY STOMACH — very important instruction
Missed Dose
Take it on an empty stomach as soon as you remember. If the next dose time is close, skip it. Never take a double dose.
Long-term adherence is critical — missing doses can develop viral resistance and cause treatment failure.
Overdose
Contact a doctor or emergency room immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms and renal stress are possible. Seek specialist care if excess Entecavir is taken.
