Symptom

Typhoid Fever

Also called: motichehrah · typhoid bukhar · enteric fever

Typhoid (motichehrah / typhoid bukhar) is common in Pakistan, with extensively drug-resistant (XDR) strains widespread in Sindh and Punjab. Symptoms include sustained fever, headache, abdominal discomfort, and constipation. Treatment is antibiotic-based but the choice has narrowed dramatically due to XDR — never self-medicate.

  • Abdominal distension, severe pain (possible perforation)
