Dormicum Tablet Side Effects (Nuksanat)
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WARNING: Dormicum Tablet (Midazolam) carries a high risk of dependence, abuse, and life-threatening respiratory depression. It must ONLY be taken under medical supervision.
Dormicum Tablet (Midazolam) is a controlled benzodiazepine. Sedation and amnesia are expected effects under medical supervision, but serious side effects require immediate emergency attention.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Drowsiness
- Dizziness
- Anterograde amnesia (not remembering the procedure period)
These side effects are expected with sedation under medical supervision. If they persist beyond the expected recovery period, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Respiratory depression (dangerously slow or stopped breathing) — call emergency services immediately
- CNS depression (extreme sedation, unresponsiveness) — call emergency services immediately
- Paradoxical agitation or aggression — seek medical attention immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Difficulty breathing or very slow breathing after taking the medicine
- Extreme drowsiness, confusion, or failure to regain consciousness in expected time
- Signs of dependence or withdrawal: anxiety, tremor, sweating between doses
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Do not use Dormicum Tablet if you are allergic to midazolam or any benzodiazepine
- NEVER combine with alcohol or other CNS depressants — life-threatening respiratory depression
- Do not use recreationally or for non-prescribed purposes
