Eltroxin Tablet (Levothyroxine Sodium) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Palpitations or rapid heartbeat if dose is too high
- Insomnia or anxiety
- Weight loss and increased sweating with excess dosage

Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Angina pectoris or cardiac arrhythmia in patients with underlying heart disease — inform your doctor immediately — see a doctor immediately
- Osteoporosis (bone density loss) with prolonged supraphysiological dosing — regular monitoring required — see a doctor immediately

- Chest pain, palpitations, or irregular heartbeat
- Worsening fatigue or new symptoms despite treatment
- Any symptoms suggesting over or under-replacement of thyroid hormone
