Lyrica Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Lyrica (Pregabalin) is generally well tolerated when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Signs of an allergic reaction — see a doctor immediately
- Suicidal thoughts or a sudden mood change — see a doctor immediately
- Slow or shallow breathing, especially with opioids, sedatives, or alcohol — this is an emergency
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Difficulty breathing or unusually slow, shallow breathing
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a widespread rash
- New or worsening thoughts of self-harm or a sudden significant change in mood
- Signs of withdrawal after missing doses or stopping the medicine
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Don't use Lyrica if you are allergic to pregabalin or any ingredient
- Never stop Lyrica suddenly — this can cause withdrawal symptoms, including seizures
- Avoid alcohol and other sedating medicines while on Lyrica
- Lyrica has some potential for misuse and dependence — take it only as prescribed
