Zovirax Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Zovirax (Acyclovir) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Nausea
- Headache
- Diarrhea
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Kidney function changes — see a doctor immediately
- Confusion or unusual drowsiness (especially in patients with kidney impairment) — see a doctor immediately
- Severe allergic reaction — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing
- Confusion, unusual drowsiness, or reduced urination
- Symptoms that do not improve or that worsen after starting treatment
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Don't use Zovirax if you are allergic to Acyclovir or any ingredient
- Drink plenty of fluids while taking Zovirax to help protect kidney function, especially at higher doses
