Abdul Samad

Dr. Abdul Samad is a PMDC-registered medical doctor (MBBS, RMP), a graduate of Gambat Medical College, and an Associate Member of the Royal College of Physicians. His published contributions in The BMJ, the American Journal of Infection Control, and the Annals of Medicine and Surgery reflect a career dedicated to advancing medical knowledge at the highest level. As an official Peer Reviewer for the Annals of Medicine and Surgery (Wolters Kluwer), he has spent years evaluating original research for methodological soundness and clinical relevance — a rigour he now applies to health information written for the public. His current research explores artificial intelligence in clinical diagnostics, including automated detection of retinopathy and colonic lesions and the responsible use of large language models in medicine.

Dr. Samad is also a Medical Content Expert for SME Careers, where he integrates AI into medical content creation, and has served in community health leadership roles — as Project Support Secretary for the Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (where his service was formally recognised) and as Batch Representative for The Blood Heroes Pakistan, mobilising over 200 donors and co-organising thalassemia seminars reaching 300+ community members.
