Cefdinir Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Cefdinir (cefdinir) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose for the prescribed duration. However, like all antibiotics, it can cause side effects.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
- Headache
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) — see a doctor immediately
- Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea — see a doctor immediately
- Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome — rare) — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Severe or watery diarrhoea, especially with blood or mucus (may indicate C. difficile)
- Skin rash, hives, or swelling of face or throat (signs of allergic reaction)
- Symptoms not improving after 3 days of treatment
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Do not use Cefdinir if you are allergic to cefdinir or any cephalosporin antibiotic
- Inform your doctor of any history of severe penicillin allergy
