Lansoprazole Capsule Dosage (Kitni leni hai)
Lansoprazole Capsule (Zoton, Lanzo) — correct dose and timing are critical for treatment effectiveness. Always follow the doctor's prescription.
Adult Dose (Baalgon ke liye)
- 15mg or 30mg capsule — as prescribed
- 30 MINUTES BEFORE FOOD — this timing is essential
- Swallow capsule whole — do not break, chew, or crush it
- In H. pylori therapy: twice daily
- Do not exceed the recommended limit
Starting Dose: As prescribed Usual Dose: Once daily, 30 min before first meal Max Daily Dose: Do not exceed the prescribed dose
Child Dose (Bachon ke liye)
Paediatric dose is decided by the doctor based on weight and age — do not calculate it yourself.
How to Take (Kaise leni hai)
- Take 30 MINUTES BEFORE FOOD — most important point
- Swallow capsule whole — do not damage the enteric coating
- Take at the same time every day — maintain a routine
- If swallowing is difficult, ask your doctor about an alternative formulation
Best Time to Take (Kab leni chahiye)
- 30 minutes before morning breakfast — for once daily dosing
- In H. pylori therapy, the doctor specifies the schedule
With Food or Empty Stomach (Khali pait ya khane ke baad)
Lansoprazole 30 minutes before food — taking it in this window maximises efficacy. Taking it completely on an empty stomach or after food is not ideal. 30 minutes before first meal = best timing.
Missed Dose (Dose chhoot jaye to kya karein)
Take it as soon as you remember — 30 minutes before food. If the next dose is soon, skip it. Continue the normal schedule. Do not take a double dose — acid symptoms may temporarily return but this is expected.
Overdose (Zyada Dose)
If more than the prescribed dose is taken, contact a doctor or the nearest emergency room. Lansoprazole overdose can cause headache, nausea, and GI symptoms.
