Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Drowsiness / sedation (neend aana) — often therapeutically useful for insomnia in depression
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness (chakkar aana)
- Constipation (qabz)

Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
