Who Should Take It

- Patients with anxiety-associated insomnia (sedating SSRI advantage)
- Patients who prefer taking medicine at night (sedation advantage)
When NOT to Use
- With or within 14 days of MAO inhibitors
- With thioridazine or pimozide (CONTRAINDICATED)
- With tamoxifen (cancer treatment)
- Pregnancy — particularly first trimester (Category D)
- Allergy to paroxetine
