Prospan Syrup Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Prospan Syrup (ivy leaf dry extract) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Mild nausea or stomach upset
- Diarrhoea
- Mild allergic skin reactions in sensitive individuals
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Severe allergic reaction with difficulty breathing or throat swelling — seek emergency help immediately
- Persistent or worsening cough after 7 days — see a doctor immediately
- Severe gastrointestinal disturbance — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Swelling of the face, lips, or throat
- Cough that worsens or does not improve after 7 days of treatment
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Do not use Prospan Syrup if you are allergic to ivy leaf extract or any ingredient
- Consult a doctor before use if the patient has liver disease
