Solifenacin Tablet Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Solifenacin Tablet (Vesicare) (Solifenacin Succinate) is generally effective for overactive bladder when taken at the correct dose. However, like all antimuscarinics, it can cause side effects in some patients — most are related to its mechanism of action.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
- Blurred vision / accommodation paralysis
- Urinary retention
- Dizziness and drowsiness
- Dry eyes
These side effects are generally mild. Inform your doctor if they persist or worsen.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Acute urinary retention (complete inability to urinate) — medical emergency, especially in men with BPH or elderly patients — see a doctor immediately
- Severe constipation / paralytic ileus — see a doctor immediately
- Heat stroke — particular risk in Pakistani summers — see a doctor immediately
- QT prolongation — see a doctor immediately
- Cognitive impairment / dementia risk (elderly, long-term use — anticholinergic burden) — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Complete urinary retention — EMERGENCY — go to hospital immediately
- Chest pain or palpitations
- Severe constipation or abdominal distension
- Confusion or memory impairment
- Sudden eye pain or redness — EMERGENCY
- Elevated body temperature or absence of sweating in hot weather

- CONTRAINDICATED in narrow-angle glaucoma
- Men with BPH — urinary retention risk; always inform your doctor
