Suprax Capsule Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Suprax Capsule (Cefixime) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Diarrhoea or loose stools
- Nausea and stomach upset
- Abdominal pain
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Severe allergic reaction including anaphylaxis — seek emergency care immediately — see a doctor immediately
- Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (pseudomembranous colitis) — stop use and see a doctor — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Severe or watery diarrhoea during or after treatment
- Skin rash, hives, or facial swelling
- No improvement in symptoms after 48 to 72 hours
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Do not use Suprax Capsule if you are allergic to Cefixime or any cephalosporin antibiotic
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of penicillin allergy
