Systane Eye Drops Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Systane Eye Drops (polyethylene glycol 400 + propylene glycol) is generally safe when applied correctly. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Temporary blurred vision immediately after application
- Mild stinging or burning sensation on instillation
- Sensation of something in the eye
These side effects are usually mild and resolve within a few minutes. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Persistent eye pain or severe redness — see a doctor immediately
- Allergic reaction with eyelid swelling or facial rash — see a doctor immediately
- Progressive or sudden change in vision — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Eye pain that does not resolve after applying drops
- Sudden or worsening change in vision
- Persistent redness, discharge, or swelling of the eyelids
