Cosylan Syrup (Ethylmorphine Hydrochloride with Cascara and Menthol) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose for the recommended duration. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Drowsiness
- Constipation
- Nausea

Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Respiratory depression (dangerously slow breathing) at high doses — seek emergency help immediately
