Galvus Tablet Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Galvus Tablet (Vildagliptin) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Nausea
- Headache
- Joint pain
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Severe abdominal pain (possible pancreatitis) — see a doctor immediately
- Signs of liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine) — see a doctor immediately
- Allergic reaction (swelling of face, lips, or tongue; difficulty breathing) — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Severe or persistent abdominal pain that does not go away
- Yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusually dark urine
- Swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, or difficulty breathing
- Signs of very low blood sugar (sweating, confusion, fainting), especially if combined with a sulfonylurea or insulin
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Don't use Galvus Tablet if you are allergic to Vildagliptin or any ingredient
- Use with caution if combined with a sulfonylurea or insulin, as the risk of low blood sugar increases
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
