Lasix Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Lasix (Furosemide) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Increased urination
- Thirst and dry mouth
- Dizziness or lightheadedness, especially on standing
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Signs of severe dehydration or electrolyte imbalance (confusion, muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat) — see a doctor immediately
- Severe dizziness or fainting — see a doctor immediately
- Hearing changes or ringing in the ears (rare, mostly with high injectable doses) — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Confusion, severe muscle cramps, or an irregular or fast heartbeat
- Severe dizziness, fainting, or falls
- Ringing in the ears or sudden hearing changes
Warnings and Precautions (Ihtiyat)
- Don't use Lasix if you are allergic to Furosemide or any ingredient
- Lasix can lower your blood potassium and sodium levels; your doctor may check these periodically with blood tests
