How to Take (Kaise leni hai)
- With or without food
- At the time prescribed by your doctor relative to the triggering event
- Swallow whole with water — do not crush or chew the standard tablet
- For orally disintegrating tablets (ODT): place on the tongue, allow to dissolve, then swallow with saliva
Best Time to Take (Kab leni chahiye)
- 30 to 60 minutes before chemotherapy for CINV
- As directed by your anaesthesiologist for post-operative nausea prevention
- Same time daily if on a regular schedule
With Food or Empty Stomach (Khali pait ya khane ke baad)
It can be taken either way — on an empty stomach or after food. Follow your doctor's instructions on timing relative to the triggering treatment.
Missed Dose (Dose chhoot jaye to kya karein)
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If the next dose is close, skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose.
Overdose (Zyada Dose)
If you take more than the prescribed amount, seek emergency medical help immediately. Overdose of Ondansetron Tablet can cause heart rhythm disturbances (QT prolongation), severe constipation, and vision problems.
