Ondansetron Tablet Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Ondansetron Tablet (Ondansetron Hydrochloride) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Headache
- Constipation
- Flushing (facial redness and warmth)

Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- QT prolongation (heart rhythm abnormality) — see a doctor immediately
- Serotonin syndrome (with other serotonergic drugs) — see a doctor immediately
- Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) — see a doctor immediately

- Chest pain or palpitations — may indicate QT prolongation
- Signs of serotonin syndrome: agitation, rapid heart rate, high temperature, tremor
- Severe allergic reaction: rash, swelling of face or throat, difficulty breathing

- Do not use Ondansetron Tablet if you are allergic to ondansetron hydrochloride or any ingredient
- Avoid use in patients with congenital long QT syndrome
- Correct electrolyte imbalances before starting treatment — low potassium or magnesium increases QT risk
