Galvus Tablet (Vildagliptin) Uses (Fayde / Kis kaam aati hai)
Galvus Tablet contains Vildagliptin — a DPP-4 Inhibitor used to control blood sugar in Type 2 diabetes.
Mechanism (Kaise Kaam Karta Hai)
Vildagliptin inhibits the DPP-4 (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4) enzyme. This raises the level of GLP-1 and GIP hormones, which signal the pancreas to release insulin glucose-dependently — meaning only when blood sugar is elevated. This is why the risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) is lower when used alone.
