Januvia Tablet Side Effects (Nuksanat)
Januvia Tablet (Sitagliptin Phosphate) is generally safe when taken at the correct dose under medical supervision. However, like all medicines, it can cause side effects in some patients.
Common Side Effects (Aam Nuksanat)
- Nasopharyngitis (cold-like symptoms: runny nose, sore throat)
- Headache
- Upper respiratory tract infection
These side effects are usually mild. If they continue, inform your doctor.
Serious Side Effects (Sanjeedah Nuksanat)
- Acute pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain) — see a doctor immediately
- Severe allergic reaction including angioedema (face, lips, throat swelling) — emergency
- Bullous pemphigoid (large fluid-filled skin blisters) — see a doctor immediately
When to See a Doctor (Kab Doctor Se Milna Zaroori Hai)
- Severe or persistent abdominal pain — may indicate acute pancreatitis
- Sudden swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat — angioedema is a medical emergency
- Blistering or peeling of skin — may indicate bullous pemphigoid

- Do not use Januvia Tablet if you are allergic to sitagliptin or any ingredient
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
